Field Day T-shirt Colors

Please review your child's assigned t-shirt color for field day on May 27th. Having matching t-shirts helps students identify their classes quickly if they happen to get separated and helps adults find classrooms easier. Please help us out and do your best to follow the assigned colors.

Kona Ice Ingredient List

All students will receive a Kona Ice on Field Day. Here's the ingredient list! If you do not want your child to participate, please let us know. An alternative treat can be kept in the school nurse's freezer.

First, a friendly reminder that all Prospect Library books were due last week. We have been sending out overdue notices via email, so if your child has any books out, please help locate and return them. Reach out to prospectlibrary@d181.org with any questions.

Second, we want to give a huge thank you to all of our library volunteers this year for grades K-3! We are so appreciative of your help with checking in, checking out, and shelving. A special thank you to our fabulous volunteer coordinator Jaime Weibel for organizing and creating the volunteer schedules.

Finally, we hope you keep reading over the summer! Here are some recommended reading lists for each grade level: rising K-5, rising 6th, and here is a flyer from the Clarendon Hills Library with their summer programs!

CHMS SPIRITWEAR - Gear up with CHMS Spiritwear! - We’ve restocked our most popular gear. Choose from CHMS collegiate hoodies, butter yellow "bow" hoodies, light blue or yellow athletic tees, or the must-have flannel pajama pants. Gear up for 6th grade and show your CHMS pride. Welcome to CHMS!

CHMS PTO REGISTRATION - Pay your dues: These dues help cover our operating costs, and ensure you receive our weekly emails with all kinds of important information. If you have any questions, please reach out to corrine.natarelli@gmail.com.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES - Order ALL of your school supplies: School supplies will be delivered to your house, bulk order items (paper towels, wipes, tissues, etc.) will be shipped directly to CHMS. Use the School Code CLA217. Purchase before May 31, prices increase by $10 until sales end on June 21. Questions? Please email president@chmspto.org.

PE UNIFORM - Order your student's PE Uniform: At a minimum, students will need a T-shirt & Shorts. Orders placed before August 7th will be available for pickup at CHMS Back to School Day. Orders placed from Aug 8 - 16 will be shipped to the school for pick up on the first day of school. Orders placed after that date will be shipped to your home. We have samples of the PE uniforms in the vestibule if you would like to stop by and check for sizes. The vestibule is open during school hours.

HEART RATE STRAPS - Order new heart rate monitors. Students will use heart rate monitors in PE class and need their own.

Jacob Grant Author/Illustrator Visit: Books available for purchase & signing

Prospect School is delighted to welcome author/illustrator Jacob Grant for a visit on Monday, May 18th. Mr. Grant will talk with students about his career as an author/illustrator, do a drawing demo, and discuss his new book, Turtle Slept In.

Students can order an autographed and personalized copy of Turtle Slept In or Umami. To order an autographed copy of any of these books, please return this order form with payment (cash or check payable to CCSD181) by Monday, May 18th. If you miss that date, there will be signed books available for purchase through May 22nd.
