Celebrating One Book, One School

5/2/2026 6:18 pm

Have you read the One Book One School selection, The Guardian Test? It’s not too late! Author Christina Soontornvat will be presenting to the students THIS WEEK Wednesday, and will be available for a meet-and-greet and book signing on Fine Arts Night. Remember to bring your book if you’d like it signed! Some of her books will also be available for purchase at the book fair.

Help us welcome Ms. Soontornvat and celebrate her book The Guardian Test by making your own guardian! If you would like to show off your creative side, we are looking for families to create your own “guardian” animal to display during the author visit and at Fine Arts Night. It can be made of paper, posterboard, cardboard, LEGOs, craft supplies, or whatever else you can think of! All submissions should be delivered to school by Monday, May 4th.

Donate Outgrown Snow Gear

5/2/2026 6:15 pm

Consider donating your child's outgrown snow gear to students in need. There will be a bin outside the front office for any CLEAN snow pants, jackets, hats, gloves, etc. Please only donate gear that is in good condition. Thank you for your generosity!

Prospect Teacher and Staff Gifting

5/2/2026 6:15 pm

To show our appreciation to Prospect staff, the PTO is using GiftCrowd to facilitate year-end gifting to Prospect staff. GiftCrowd enables families to make a contribution to any staff member and include a personalized message. (Room Parents will continue to coordinate classroom teacher gifts.)

Click here to access the Prospect staff gifting page.

Notes:
- You may choose to give to whomever and however you wish. But gifting a smaller amount ($2-$5) to staff who work with most students is appropriate as this is one collective, school-wide gift.

- This is a comprehensive list (less the classroom teachers who will have their gifts coordinated by room parents). Our intention is to include everyone that families may have a connection to in order to streamline your gift-giving process.

- Please note that while teachers/staff will see which families contribute to the collective gift, the amount you contribute will be private.

- Unlike the holiday GiftCrowd, custodians are included on this list. Mr. Angel is retiring at the end of the year after MANY years as a Prospect custodian.

As always, these group gifts are completely optional and the monetary contribution is up to each family. Should you wish to contribute, please do so by Thursday, 5/21. Gifts will be distributed on Friday, 5/22. Thank you so much for your involvement and support!
