Is your child interested in robotics? Do they want to know more about coding?
The Prospect LEGO Mindstorm Robotics club is a club where students will learn to design, build, and program cool robots using LEGO’s most advanced robotics technology – Mindstorms EV3. Students will work in small groups to complete projects and games created specifically for EV3. Through the design process, students will develop engineering and coding skills in building their robots. Please note that students will not be able to take their robots home because parts will be reused from session to session.
The club will meet on Tuesdays from 3:10pm to 4:10pm with pickups around 4:15 pm. The Lego Mindstorm Robotics club will have a fall and winter session and is open to students in 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. The Club will be able to transport children, if needed, to the aftercare program held at Prospect.
The Prospect Robotics club also plans to offer a spring program for K through 2nd grade using Lego WEDO Robots. Please look in the PTO newsletter in January for more information about the Lego WEDO program.
