Lego WeDo Robotics Club for 2nd/3rd graders
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 30th, 2020
Is your child interested in robotics? Do they want to know more about coding?
Prospect’s LEGO WEDO Robotics Club will provide our 2nd and 3rd grade students the opportunity to learn to design, build, and program cool robots using Lego WEDO Robots. LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 is a hands-on STEM solution that combines the LEGO brick, classroom-friendly software, engaging standards-based projects and a discovery based approach. Students will work in small groups to complete projects and games created specifically for Lego We DO. Through the design process, students will develop engineering and coding skills while building and programming their robots.
**Students will not be able to take their robots home as all parts will be reused from session to session.
The club is available to students in 2nd and 3rd grade and will meet on Tuesdays from 3:10pm to 4:10pm. There is a 16 student maximum in the club, so get your registration in as soon as possible. A waitlist will begin after the maximum enrollment is reached.
Sign-up link will be available in the January 19th PTO newsletter. Your child’s enrollment in the club or placement on a waitlist will be communicated once the enrollment period ends. If your child is enrolled a payment link will be forwarded.
