Note from the Principal

Hello Prospect Families! I hope you are enjoying your summer and taking advantage of the warm weather. I absolutely love this season! My family recently returned from an amazing vacation to Australia.  We enjoyed touring Sydney and Cairns as we kept busy with so many activities: climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge, whale watching, touring the Opera House, helmet diving at the Great Barrier Reef, holding Koala Bears and feeding Kangaroos.

Our main reason for visiting Australia was one of my boys, Finn, participated in the International First LEGO League Competition. There were forty-two teams from twenty-nine countries that attended the competition.  This was such an amazing experience for the whole family and the best part was Finn’s team came in second place!  There were so many great memories made on our trip to Australia, Finn’s big win was just the cherry on top!

On the days that I haven’t been traveling to amazing places, I’ve been busy at Prospect planning for the beginning of the school year.  A successful school year begins with the hard work and dedication of the people who work behind the scenes. Our custodial staff, led by Mr. Angel, have put in countless hours of hard work and labor to prepare the building for student and teacher arrival.  This crew makes sure our ship stays afloat! The staff members have begun setting up their classrooms for the new year and are so excited to welcome back the students on August 23rd.

We are all looking forward to the energy our students will bring to Prospect in August. It gets a little lonely without them during the summer months, and we’re excited to see their faces again!

Enjoy the remaining days of summer and I look forward to seeing you soon.
